Kirk Jones Hired as FedPoint's Director of Information Risk Management and Information Security Officer

Portsmouth, NH (June 20, 2023)—Federal insurance and benefits administrator FedPoint^® welcomes Kirk Jones to the organization as its new Director of Information Risk Management and Information Security Officer.

Jones joins the FedPoint team with more than 20 years in information risk management and information security, having most recently headed the cybersecurity, privacy, and information technology compliance functions for Workgrid Software in Dover. His insurance and healthcare industry-specific work experience also includes directing cybersecurity and risk management programs at Liberty Mutual in Portsmouth, Steward Health Care, and Mass General Brigham in Boston.

Jones holds a master's degree in informatics from Northeastern University with a specialization in information security management, as well as a bachelor of science degree in management information systems, and multiple professional certifications in information security, risk management and privacy.

Located on Pease International Tradeport, FedPoint has been administering large federal and military benefits contracts for the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) since 2002. Jones succeeds outgoing director Ken Kasprzak, who will retire in late July. Under Kasprzak's direction over the past decade, FedPoint has strengthened its security posture and remained compliant with the strict federal requirements governed by the Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA) and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), enabling the company to renew its Authority to Operate with OPM three times during that span.
