FedPoint Sponsors 52 Scholarships Through Federal Employee Education and Assistance Fund Program

Portsmouth, NH (October 23, 2024)—Federal marketplace operator FedPoint® is pleased to announce the sponsorship and award of 52 $1,000 merit scholarships through the Federal Employee Education and Assistance Fund (FEEA) Scholarship Program, which supports the educational goals of federal employees and their families. FedPoint has partnered with FEEA since 2007.

"We are so grateful to FedPoint for more than 15 years of supporting FEEA and federal families. Their support of our scholarship program has helped FEEA increase the overall number of awards by about 30 percent over that time, and now makes college more affordable for more than 50 students each year," said FEEA's Executive Director Robyn Kehoe. "FedPoint's commitment to education for federal families also extended to helping FEEA launch our tutoring program during the pandemic, making online tutoring support available to over 10,000 struggling students. We deeply appreciate FedPoint's backing of our educational programs and their dedication to making life better for feds and their families."

For almost two decades, FedPoint has supported several of FEEA's programs—including its annual scholarship program, its online tutoring program, the FEDLifeHacks program, and the annual Feds in Motion Challenge wellness event—committing more than $750,000 over that span.

"Every FedPoint employee understands the scope of impact federal employees make in our lives," said FedPoint CEO Kevin Hill. "They evolve science, protect our commerce, nurture and protect our forests, and advocate for and protect American interests day and night around the world. Supporting the federal family is at the core of who FedPoint is—we're honored to do it, not only in our role as their benefits administrator but also through support and advocacy via partnerships with organizations like FEEA, whose mission aligns with ours. The length of our partnership with FEEA reflects our appreciation of their efforts to ensure the needs of federal employees are recognized in ways that make an impact on their lives and the lives of their families. We share that commitment and will continue to support FEEA in their mission."

FEEA's mission is to empower federal and U.S. Postal Service employees and their families to achieve their educational, financial, and career goals as they serve the American people. Based in Alexandria, VA, FEEA also provides the federal family with emergency hardship loans, disaster relief grants, online tutoring, and more all across the United States and to almost every federal department and agency.

FEEA awarded 237 scholarships in 2024, representing all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The recipients stood out from more than 2,300 applicants and were chosen for their outstanding academic achievements and community engagement. While the scholarship is open to eligible federal employees themselves, as well as their spouses, children, and grandchildren, the majority of the recipients are children of federal employees.
